A Letter to Welcome the New Administrator

Welcome Mica!

Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation would like to welcome our new administrator, Mica Collins. Mica was the Director of Social Services at Madison Health and Rehab for over 12 years before making the leap over to Estill Co. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with her bachelor’s in social work in 1999 and last year completed her master’s in social work at Indiana Wesleyan University. Mica’s social work career began with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and transitioned into her long-term care career with a skilled nursing facility in Lexington. She says that’s where her love for working with the elderly began. When not at work, she can be found being a taxi driver for her two children as her daughter participates in the drama club at her school and her son is into all things sports, especially soccer! Mica enjoys spending time with her family, movie nights and attending community events.

The most important thing to Mica in her new role as Administrator is that everyone knows she has an open-door policy. She is there and available for any questions or concerns anyone may have. She is excited to start building strong relationships with the staff, families, and most importantly, the residents. Her goal is for everyone to work together to ensure the best care possible for those that call Irvine Nursing and Rehab their home.
