Love From Around the Globe

On January 31, 2022, our Activity Director made a post on the Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Facebook page requesting that people mail Valentine’s Day cards to residents. Within 48 hours of making that post, it WENT VIRAL!!! The post gained over 90k shares! We spoke to people from all over the world and received cards and gifts from parts of the world such as Scotland, Uganda, Argentina and South America. Lexington 18 News, along with our local radio stations and news papers have followed our story. The facility would like to say “THANK YOU” to everyone who have helped us spread kindness towards our seniors this past Valentine’s Day! This is one that will be talked about for years to come, as we may still be reading Valentine’s cards from 2022.
